Exercise and Math

5 men answered the call to join YHC for a 530a Circuit Breaker- many thanks for doing so. Went something like this…
- Warmup loop from Bubba’s parking lot up around the dentist building and back down in front of the church, roughly 0.3ish miles
- In Bubba’s parking lot, do 4 exercises and 2 flights of stairs for 6 rounds with an ascending rep count
- Round 1: 1 Burpee, 2 WWIIs, 3 Squats, 4 SSHs, run up both sets of stairs
- Round 2: 2 Burpees, 4 WWIIs, 6 Squats, 8 SSHs, run up both sets of stairs
- Round 3: 3 Burpees, 6 WWIIs, 9 Squats, 12 SSHs, run up both sets of stairs
- and so on with the routine until
- Round 6: 6 Burpees, 12 WWIIs, 18 Squats, 24 SSHs, run up both sets of stairs
- Run the warmup loop
- Repeat the routine until 615ish, collect the PAX and finish together
YHC’s mind gets caught up in the numbers while exercising so I started thinking about the formula and the total rep count. I’m sure there are some who would appreciate such thought and others who would quickly yell out “NERD!”. Either way, it is what it is.
- Rep Count = Round # * Exercise #
- ex: number of WWIIs in round 3 = (round 3 * exercise 2) = 6
- ex: number of SSHs in round 5 = (round 5 * exercise 4) = 20

We were able to get everyone thru 3 routines, less the warmup lap on the last routine for the sake of time.
Circle up for count off and name-arama and announcements/prayer requests/praises. AMEN
Moleskin- the Friday Bible Study group recently talked about not being a lone wolf. It may be easy for some to fall into the ‘lone wolf’ mentality where getting together with others is a struggle or just not desirable. Either way, the beauty of being in a pack is you have someone to pick you up when necessary, someone to push you along to achieve more, someone else you can pour into. We finished up today with that same mentality- we were going to stick together and get everyone through 3 routines. Mission accomplished. Appreciate Exit 54, SS Minnow, Othello, Dud, and Beaclaw joining me so I didn’t have to get better by myself. Was a beautiful morning and good way to start the day/week/month.
Prayers for Exit’s mentoree’s family (Timothy family?) in the loss of their grandmother; praises for bodies capable of being out for exercise. Stay tuned for more details on the CPR training as Exit posts them to Slack. Prayers for a great day and the desire to be salt and light in this world. Peace out homeys
