No Mas Experiment: No Mas – Mas Fuerza!

I had Pizza this past weekend which of course came in a pizza box. AKA “Pizza Box of Pain” or what we can now call the PBOP! So when I see on Monday that there’s a Q spot open, why throw it away when I can recycle it at a beatdown?!!
Anyway I recall that No Mas goes well with the PBOP but since it was apparently strength week at RS (I know this because of my sore muscles) I figured why not modify No Mas to include some block work?
Let’s just say it looked better on the grease stained cardboard than it did on the ball courts!
The Thang:
Mosey towards the symbol of over-development for a little warmarama. SSH, IST, Cotton Pickers and Windmills. “Time is of the essence so pretty please, with sugar on top, partner up and grab a ‘Freakin’ block.” and head to the ball courts. (lame attempt at a Pulp Fiction quote noted)
No Mas – Mas Fuerza (More Strength)
Similar to regular No Mas (but totally different) there are 9 exercises, stacked and repeated then un-stacked. Each partner will run down and back after each exercise. Like this….
1 -run
2-run,1-run
3-run,2-run,1-run
4-run,3-run,2-run,1-run
etc,etc….
Exercises are:
5 reps each
1 Merkins. Run
2 Block Squats. Run
3 OH Press. Run
4 Block lunges
5 Curls
6 Sumo Squats
7 Derkins
8 Bear Crawl
9 BBJ (burpee broad jumps)
Audible was call to increase to 10 reps once you get the 9th exercise.
Time ran out on most. Return the blocks and mosey to Mary for Freddy Merks, LBCs, Pretzel Sticks and High Scissor Kicks.
Naked Man Moleskin
Well it was worth a try so hope you at least got a bit out of it. No Mas is confusing on its own let alone throwing in a bunch of dumb strength stuff. As it turns out I’m much better Qing ‘on the fly’ as opposed to actually planning something out. (sometimes) Any way it was fun, a bit entertaining and I had a great partner in Beef!
El Dorado 10/12 at Kohls parking lot, UNCC, 0700, Service Day at C-Bros same day as well as free hot dogs at Cannon Pharmacy.
