Death by Timer
All All MECA BackblastsJune 9th, 2017
9 manly men made the decision to get up and at em’ for a body shredding, end of the school year beatdown. Shovel flag planted. Disclaimer given. It’s go time! Let’s mosey!
Warmarama
- SSH
- 1 Half Tuck Burpee (regular burpee with a half tuck jump at the end)
- Cottom Picker
- 2 HTBs
- etc. till we get to 5 HTBs
Head to the dungeon walls
- 5 Burpee Muscle Ups
- 10 WW2 Situps
- Repeato
- Repeato
Run down the rabbit hole to the park shelter, time for some Ciabatta!
- Ciabatta (aka Tabata) exercises are done high intensity for 20 seconds followed by 10 seconds of rest for a total of 4 minutes. Easy enough. Let’s give it a whirl.
- Round 1 – Carolina Dry Docks and Plank Jacks
- Round 2 – Side Strattle Hops and Foot Release Squats
- Round 3 – Merkins and Mountain Climbers
The sweat is flowing pretty good by this point so YHC concludes the warmup and we move on to the main event…
- CINDY
- 5 Pullups
- 10 Merkins
- 15 Squats
- Every minute on the minute for 20 minutes
Sadly we only had time for 14 rounds before we packed up shop and headed back up the hill. Stop along the way for some traveling mary. Finish up by the flag with some Half Tuck Burpees just for good measure. Recover-Recover!
20 Second Moleskin
- Thanks for posting with me this morning gents! The goal was to switch things up a bit and bring some newness to the Skywalker gloom. Most of the exercises and times sound pretty easy until you’re knee deep into them. Once they start stacking up it gets real!
- Koolaid is having a graduation party tonight. It only took him 50+ years to get that GED!
- Tclaps to Frodo for putting in the ChickenFoot prerun. Can’t fix stupid.
- It always a pleasure to lead this fine group. Have a great day men!

Good work out there today! Sound off!
As expected, @Grinder delivered with today’s #beatdown. Maximizing workout time = limited opportunities for #mumblechatter.
Congrats to a proud Dad, @KoolAid. My thoughts as you handle her leaving for Senior Week. In Myrtle. That’s the Dad talking, not the Principal.
Speaking of which…
M heads to Kansas City for eight days, so it’s just me and the 2.0’s. Say a prayer. See you all in the Gloom later this month.
Good seeing you this morning Powerball- hope you survive the single dad life!
