@ss Kicking Good Times!!

All All MECA Backblasts

June 1st, 2017 By Heatstroke

YHC rolled in at a very early 0526, planted the shovel flag and greeted the PAX.  Golden Boy asked if I had the Q today to which I replied an affirmative – his reply “Oh.” I asked if that was a good or bad “Oh” but I didn’t really need to ask, the disdained look on his face said it all.  No worries young man, no crawling through mud today.  We were here to kick some @ss today (mumblechatter would be on fire today with puns)!!  Intro and disclaimer given and we’re off (Grinder splits off for “Speed Training” at the track).

Mosey to wall around corner – 20 Donkey Kicks (DKs) on the wall – foreshadowing moment for the PAX.  Mosey back to lot for warmarama all IC:

Instructions given that if any PAX finishes/arrives earlier than other PAX at any time, no planking, SSH instead.

We mosey off with the HRMS bleachers and track, but need to make a few stops along the way:

The @ss references are flowing at this point.

We arrive at the bleachers behind HRMS.  Grinder must have finished the “speed” portion of his training as he looks like a dude just 45in’ it around the track.  We partner up with the timer going up and down the bleachers.  3 sets of each pair.

Upon finishing 20 DKs on chain link fence.  Then onto the track.  10 WW2s. Mosey a quarter of the track, 5 burpees.  Mosey another quarter 15 line jumps.  Mosey another quarter 10 inverted rows (always gotta mix these in – felt like I was almost 45in’ it a bit next to Harding, he was getting a FULL range of motion in, nice job) IC. Hey, a fence! 20 DKS.  Back to the bleachers, 20 more DKS on the fence there.  Then 10 Rocky Balboas IC and 10 Box Jumps.  Start the return trip back as Grinder joins us along the way, of course there are a few stops:

Mary: 50 LBCs – Recover, recover

COT: Prayers to Dick Tracy and family on the loss of his father.  Harding has farewell Q at Skywalker tomorrow.  RED Friday starts tomorrow at Comanche.  MECA Happy Hour at 26 acres next week.  King Tiger 5K Saturday.  The Bear on Saturday too (Sugar does not want to be alone)

Moleskin:  By my questionable count, that was 340 Donkey Kicks, way to kick @ss gentlemen (sorry, felt kind of obligated.)  Great job by all, I think that was a pretty good cardio beatdown and we kept everyone together pretty well.  Nice work by our newest PAX, Package and Project today, way to hang in, it will get easier and you will get stronger! Good to have Harding stop in before his move to TX, best of luck brother!  Nice having Kool Aid stop in a couple of times recently, always welcome!  Have a great Thursday gentlemen, it was a pleasure.

  1. If it was available to kick, we did.

  2. One of the more fun workouts we’ve done in a while!

  3. Definitely some 4.5’n happening at that track today… 4.5/min miles that is! I was honored that you all joined my running club today but it’s a shame you could only last one lap. Maybe next time…

  4. Nice workout, @Heatstroke. Donkey-kicking a fence is like an Air Donkey-kick – pretty tough. Best of luck to @Harding.

  5. Great job keeping up the pace and challenging beat down.

  6. Great workout today. I wont look at the movie Shrek the same way ever again.

  7. The last time we had that much mubblechatter was when we had a 100burpees in row; @Heatstroke and his 340DKs made that look like a cakewalk. Definitely one of the worst/best uses of our grounds in a while. It kicked this donkey’s $ss. I liked how some of the Pax would do preemptive DKs whenever they saw a wall by the end, they will never look at a wall/fence the same way again.

  8. Thank you gentlemen. @Pox Ha! You are right, Pax would just assume the position at every available vertical surface and actively look for more! Pretty much Q’d itself at the end, almost had to as I almost bit it on the bleacher box jumps:)
