**The Recon & Buy-In**

We kicked off with a 0.62-mile ruck (commemorating 1862) to establish the perimeter. The primary objective: avoid the French. We identified the enemy as Handy Manny, who was running late. We moved with purpose to ensure the “French” did not catch the Mexican resistance.

**The Cinco de Mayo WOD**

**The French Retreat**

We executed a 1-mile tactical retreat. This actually appears to be the first time we realized that rucking to the bridge and back is exactly a half-mile each way.

The retreat was accompanied by:

### The Moleskin

The coffee tier was top-notch today. Handy Manny may have been the “French enemy” during the workout, but he redeemed himself with the Kona coffee. Much appreciated.
The conversation was high-agency and varied:
– **The AI Summit:** A full-blown AI discussion broke out at the AO. Dial Up jumped in headfirst; that is clearly his baby.
– **The Nigerian Lexus:** We received an update on Gapper’s Lexus. I honestly don’t know which warlord is currently driving it, but we are hoping the AirTag or some AI assistance tracks it down eventually.
– **The Conditions:** The element did not make itself known. We expected heat, but the morning stayed benign.
