All the fun 45 minutes can offer
All Harrisburg BackblastsMay 19th, 2025
Another Monday, another Circuit Breaker. 12 stations of exercise awaited whoever cared to show up. 530a on the clock, disclaimer given over the chatter and off we went with only a few ‘wait, what, are we starting?’ peeps. Thank you Constitution, Othello, Stiffler, Uncle Floyd, Colonel Steve, CPap, Bearclaw, and even Hootie (yes that Hootie) for joining me. Mosey around the block for a warmup and back to Bubba’s parking lot for the routine.
12 cardboard placards placed on the ground around the concrete islands with a different exercise on each. Starting at any one of the 12 stations, do 10 reps of the given exercise (if you think you should count l/r as one, then do it) and then run to the center for a burpee before moving around the circle to the next exercise. Continue the routine until time is called. The exercises were:
- lap around the concrete islands
- heels to heaven
- jump squats
- CDDs
- American hammers
- lunges
- run the stairs
- low flutters
- mountain climbers
- plank jacks
- WW2s
- hand release merkins
After about 30-35 minutes, YHC called time and we took a mosey around the block just like we started. Upon our return to Bubba’s, we lined up for some ‘Mary in Motion’ (I just made that up, thought it was novel). Line up near Bubba’s, call an exercise, the PAX runs to the end of the parking lot to do 10 reps, then run back to the starting point. Exercises were:
- low flutter
- crunchy frog
- LBC
- heels to heaven
- CDD
- freddie mercs
- may have been a couple more but I cannot remember- sorry
616a on the watch, recover recover
Prayers/praises/announcements
- Colonel Steve continues to make great strides in his transformation- down 40lbs since he started F3 as well as being able to go off some meds; his words were much more motivating to hear in person
- prayers for multiple people dealing with cancer or sickness or treatments
- See Colonel Steve’s Slack post about a volunteer op at the Speedway to support the Jay M Robinson band
Take a knee, pray it out, amen
Appreciate you guys showing up today and for the continual push. These ‘you vs. you’ ordeals can suck but they seem a little easier when you have someone joining you to keep you going. Take that same mentality into your day and realize that someone else may be ready to quit but you have the chance to say ‘good job, keep it up, looking good’- don’t miss your opportunity!
Peace out homeys
