It’s a BLOCK party, fun fun!

All Harrisburg Backblasts

February 17th, 2025 By Talladega

It’s a block party, very similar to something like this…

or maybe not.  But it had to be something fun or else why do it?!?!  530a on the clock and off to mosey around Bubba’s and Venture Church.  Upon returning to Venture Church, head to Othello’s truck to get a cinder block for the party and come back to the front door of the church.  Disclaimer was given to the 9 dudes that decided to join me for some work.  Everything is a suggestion, modify as necessary.

First routine

Enough of that, grab the blocks and mosey over to Bubba’s parking lot for some shuttle runs.  No blocks for this routine:

YHC messed up and skipped the first round of SSH so I cheated you guys some reps- sorry.  Still, that would have been 30 SSH, 50 merkins, 30 squats, and 10 WWII

Grab the blocks and go to the side of the parking lot for the next shuttle run.  Same sequence as before but with different exercises and still no blocks:

This round would have been 40 SSH, 50 hand release merkins, 30 mountain climbers, 10 plank jacks.  Grab the blocks to head back to Venture Church, stopping along the way for

At Venture Church

No time left to go back to the first routine for 12/11/10 rep cycles so just called a few Mary exercises to wrap it up

Prayers/Praises/Announcements

Take a knee, pray it out, AMEN

Moleskin- always good to pull into the parking lot and see guys ready to work out.  Thank you Kojak, Constitution, Fire Brand, Gold Rush, Bearclaw, Othello, Dr. Lecter, Uncle Floyd, and Boy Scout for showing up.  My only bummer was not being able to keep us busier and the time flew by before we could get everything done.  Thankful for the music from Constitution as always (numbs some of the pain) but not so sure about watching some of the PAX exercise to the beat.  Don’t believe I’m ready for Jazzercise in the Burg.  Not much chatter today from the group, everyone seemed focused on getting the work in- and that’s OK, why we showed up.  For those wondering what a cinder block weighs, according to Google it depends on what it’s made of as well as the size, but what we had today should be somewhere around 38lbs.  Good job men of taking care of business and moving that weight around, getting some running in as well, and hopefully you left better than when you started.  Peace out homeys!
