Moleskin:
1. Six faithful Pax showed on a slightly drizzly and windy, but otherwise comfortably warm first
day of Autumn. All felt lucky to have dodged Hurricane Ophelia, which prompted Q’s
question/observation to the Pax that no hurricane has ever been named “Gussy” by the
National Weather Service. Why? Because Hurricane Gussy is a fictitious character and the
punchline in one of the funniest jokes ever told in comedy history. No weatherman could
announce the coming of Hurricane “Gussy” without laughing outloud on the air and
probably getting fired or sentenced to sensitivity training. Allow me to amplify. Any joke that
starts out, “So a guy goes to a whorehouse”, as this one does, usually has a pretty good
ending. The “winds” of Hurricane Gussy are fierce and powerful, as the guy who went to the
whorehouse found out. Show up this coming Saturday to hear the rest!
2. Emphasis this morning was to keep moving and get a good ‘ol overall body workout with
repeating stations around downtown as long as the rain stayed light. All workouts are
better, no matter what the weather conditions, when done with F3 brothers.
Loveboat joined us at coffeteria at Holy Grounds after his 12 mile run. He reported feeling
the winds of Hurricane Gussy as well.
