Othello has “Iron Envy” 😉 whenever he Q’s on Friday’s.  Other Pax make it look so easy but I struggle trying to put together a BD that is a little different than the norm but satisfying to the Pax (OG’s) at the same time.  Always good to break out of your comfort zone once in a while, right?  Here is how it went….

0515 YHC arrives to set up workout area in the parking lot by the tennis courts.
0520 Cinderblocks are lined up, BT speaker in position, laser light show engaged!
0525 Pax start rolling in, head towards pavilion.

The Thang
YHC had cinderblocks running down the sidewalk.  Each Pax was to line up by a block.  The routine will consist of a declining ladder (10-8-6-4-2) with a back-n-forth traverse of the parking lot.  Once that set was over Pax will either P/U the six or do an Ab exercise while waiting.  It went something like this:

YHC starts the “SXM Road Trip Radio” and BT Laser Light Show.

Round 1: 10 Bicep curls then Bearcrawl with cinderblock drag to the other side of the lot, walk it back to home.  Repeato with 8 bicep curls, repeato the bearcrawl with cinderblock drag, return back to home, then 6 bicep curls, 4, then 2, etc, etc, etc.
Round 2: 10 Tricep extensions with Cinderblock/Lunge walk, then 8-6-4-2, etc.
Round 3: 10 Lawn Mowers (each side) with crabwalk (cinderblock optional here), 8-6-4-2 etc.
Round 4: 10 High Rows (each side :-), Bearcrawl with cinderblock drag, 8-6-4-2 etc.

YHC has Pax congregate in a circle with their bell or block for a little @Exit54 COP to “Thunderstruck”.  Air Squats until you hear “Thunder or Thunderstruck” then proceed to doing a staggered Merkin on your Bell or Block until that sequence is over.  After working out the kinks we all got the hang of it and were better for it.  The song ended at 0614:45 seconds.  Perfection!
