IPC Week 4 Stoner Edition…kind of

All Rolling Stone Backblasts

September 28th, 2021 By Heatstroke

Final week of of the IPC and looking for a solid finish…it was not to be.  One car in the lot outside of YHC’s.  Project, my man, and his boy Denali emerge.  0530 and only the three of us, wow.  The frightsack is strong with the Softers…I mean Stoners.  We grab blocks and head to the Lee Mayberry School of Hoops for a quick warmarama and then get to it.  As we are into the first round, Detention makes an appearance, well done.

If you finish all of the exercises, go back to the top and start over.

We call it at 0610 to return blocks and have short Mary.

COT: Prayers for Col. Russ Olson and his recent Parkinson’s diagnosis and for my childhood friend James, son Nolan, who has a rare form of leg cancer that hopefully has a good prognosis…but he will need to go through 12 weeks of chemo, have his tibia removed for a titanium rod, then 18 more weeks of chemo.  Wow.

Moleskin:  YHC tried to rally a strong finish with the promise of a shorter workout, but the Stoners must have thought they were going up against prime Mariano Rivera in the ninth and the rally was not to be.  Putting any leaderboard nonsense aside, these were varsity level workouts to be sure, and QIC was looking to mix it up with a solid challenge.  Kinda like a mini csaup as they tend to test you so much physically that it becomes a true mental test.  Guess not so much.  And in perfect weather too.  Big Tclaps to Detention who showed up to all 3 weeks of IPC at RS, as well as, Backstop, Soprano and Project who showed up to 2.  Tough hombres who weren’t scared of a challenge.  Courage is brought up 114 times in the Bible.  We can improve by practicing courage tackling difficult things.  It’s a worthy endeavor.
