Beware of the Mondays!
All Harrisburg BackblastsJuly 12th, 2021
We think there was 13 of Harrisburg’s best counters out there busting up the Gloom this morning. Oz had originally stepped up to lead this morning but pulled his hammie trying to cover YHC during Ultimate Frisbee. Since he blames me, he made me lead with his plan.
Now anyone who was out there gets huge TClaps for starting the week right. However, you gotta be careful of those Mondays creeping in. Right off the bat we had a few guys trying to shorten the run on the original plan. I have to admit it was tempting but we all had to shake off Monday’s siren song and get to work.
The humidity was terrible and all of a sudden a few of the Pax started mentioning that they ‘thought’ we ended at 6:20 and not 6:30. Then they became absolutely positive that it always ends at 6:20 on Monday. As I was pretty tired, I stopped for a moment wondering if they were correct…before thinking…why on earth would we just go 5 minutes longer than a normal beatdown?” Ah yes..once again, the Mondays were trying to get us to hold ourselves back. I gave everyone an out if they had to go to work…but the rest of us were finishing it. No surprise here but no one left and everyone pushed through to finish strong! Beware of those Mondays!
There are a lot of distractions on the road to your goals, and I am thankful to have a group that helps me drive right through them!
