So this is your YHC first Freestyle Friday at Afton. The night before I checked the weather and after doing that wasn’t sure what the turnout would be. Checking my phone at 5:10 a.m. the weather forecast didn’t look all that bad…definitely was going to get wet, but no extreme weather. I knew turnout wouldn’t set records, but the one thing that did surprise me is there wasn’t any runners out to do Freestyle Friday. Is this normal? I’m not sure, but based on my only sample size…ruckers and bicyclist braved the elements and got work done before the end of the work week. Again…maybe this is an anomaly…but the dark side (which I admit I took part in – I’m ashamed) won this day.
