1. After a $h!t-ton of running last week (which was Wexler’s fault), we scaled it back today. The trade-off though, is a $h!t-ton of reps. One full cycle was 864 (assuming you did them all), plus a short run. Kojak led the pack, and most started a second cycle.
2. Thanks to Banjo Boy for taking us out, and for sporting the best running shirt ever. I don’t care what Solo Cup says about him, for a young guy, he’s not so bad.
3. Good to see Koozie back at the workout, and Oz back at coffee. All is right with the world.
4. Just when you think a movie about zombies taking over Las Vegas might be the worst movie in history, they throw in a baby zombie Oscar-worthy moment to reel you back in.
5. Just my interpretation of the conversation:
Starsky: “I have to leave early.”
Pax: “What time?”
Starsky: “Whatever time it is right now.”
….although in fairness, I’m loosely involved with insurance, and even I don’t have 7 hour meetings about it. That’s about 6 hours and 58 minutes too long to talk about insurance.
6. We’re gonna need a map of Tumbler’s family tree to figure out who he is and is not related to at this point.
7. Tclaps to Birdcage for getting in almost 6 miles of speed work, then jumping in for the last few rounds of exercises. Solo Cup and Banjo Boy opted to run instead of the workout, but based on the COT Clause in the Geneva Convention, made it back in time to make the list.
8. Good times at the Burn charity 5k on Saturday. Pocahontas took the crown, even after adding a little extra to the route.
Cheers!
