6 PAX (4 runners + 2 ruckers) avoided the soothing sound of pattering raindrops on their rooftops this AM and ventured out to Dorton Park to get this week started on the right foot! Yours truly called us to order at 0530, and gave instructions for this morning’s route.

For the runners, Mile #1 consisted of the “normal” route, but instead of turning up the hill past the QT we diverted to the intersection at Afton Pub/Pizza for further instruction.  The PAX partnered up in two’s with one partner running a circular route around the gazebo and the other running the opposite way past 9Round Afton… Once you met up with your partner at the Huie St./McCurdy St. intersection, each PAX did an about-face back towards the Wine Room.  A total of 5-6 loops ensued before this Q made the call to return back to the shelter via the route in which we came initially (back by the urgent care, in front of the YMCA, etc.)…

The ruckers did their thang and knocked out 2-3 miles via the “Afton Mile” route.
