Fortunately Unfortunately

Ever played the “Fortunately Unfortunately” game with your kids? It’s a fun one to do on road trips or when sitting around a campfire. One person starts a story with a sentence, then the second person continues the story using either “fortunately” or “unfortunately” to continue the story, then the third person continues with the opposite word from the second person, and the story goes round the group bouncing back-and-forth between “fortunately” and “unfortunately.” You’re welcome Dads! I’ll even give you an example…
- One Sunday evening Man Down signed up to Q the next day’s Bellbuster.
- Fortunately he had a great deck-of-cards workout in mind and printed out clear instructions for what was sure to be an epic workout.
- Unfortunately the forecast called for rain the next morning, which would soak his playing cards.
- Fortunately he remembered the old bank drive-thru next to Christian Brothers and knew he would be able to keep the PAX dry.
- Unfortunately he arrived to find that the drive-thru had been torn down.
- Fortunately it was barely raining, so he figured they could still do the workout in the CB parking lot.
- Unfortunately when he went to get his well-planned workout out of the car, he realized he had left it at home.
- Fortunately it’s pretty easy to put together a good kettlebell workout on-the-fly.
- Unfortunately the rain picked up and there was even a bit of lighting and thunder.
- Fortunately Wrong Way joined Man Down in the soggy fun.
- Unfortunately the rest of the Rollingstone Pax were afraid of the rain.
- Fortunately Spark Nut made a brief appearance.
- Unfortunately he didn’t do so till we were almost done and even then didn’t stick around long.
- Fortunately this tale is over.
The OTF workout consisted of a series of kettlebell exercises mixed with parking lot runs.
