1. Great work this morning. Sounds like a few still had some sore shoulders from Saturday, but didn’t seem to slow them down.
2. Looks like everyone at least completed 3 rounds, most completed 4 rounds with several getting through the 5th set of exercises before time was called. Birdcage completed 5, and I believe Exit54 was on his 6th set when he had to cut out early. Eight rounds may have been a bit aggressive, but regardless, all kept pushing.
3. Great to see Punchout and Winger starting to come out regularly. Keep at it! Also had a Scooter visit, as he opted for a “bootcamp” instead of a run….but ended up getting both. You’re welcome.
4. Tclaps to Pocahontas for the 0500 start to accommodate an early work schedule instead of just skipping, and for Birdcage for getting up early as well to keep him company. #choosetheharderthing
5. Deadhead may officially be a rucker now (remember, you only hear the bad stuff…..granted, that’s 99% of an event, but there’s beer at the end!). Birdcage was thinking about it, but accidently threw his ruck in his fireplace, doused it with gas and lit it up.
6. As always, great time at coffee, where we discovered that a heated indoor space is…warm. We relived the glory days of past Turkey Bowls and Wexler’s cartoon-like slip on a New Year’s Day game; discussed how far ahead Wexler will improve as Flip Phone takes two weeks off, and Scooter’s bid to own downtown Concord; lots of Millennium Race recap as well, but just the important stuff, like Othello’s jaunt through the cow pasture, what a train horn sounds like at very close range, the Solo Cup imposter smiling in every picture, team Truffle Shuffle defiling the Lions Club, Phidippedes’ picture-taking prowess, Tar Tar’s choice of leg covering, and so much more…
7. The venerable SS Minnow is on deck for The Ridge tomorrow. And he ran 10 miles today, so surely he’ll be tired, right??
Cheers!
