Devilish Day in November

All Harrisburg Backblasts

November 11th, 2020 By FlipPhone

“Alexa, what’s the weather tomorrow at 6 am?”  In Harrisburg, tomorrow at 6am it will be 71 degrees with a 51% chance of rain.  What the!?!?!  Seriously??  71, humid, and raining? Yep, she was right.  Honestly looking forward to January at this point.  Enough complaining.

13 men weren’t skeered of a little drizzle and decided to put in some work.  Mission accomplished.

Take it from a guy who’s watched only a few episodes of Game of Thrones, Winter is Coming. When it *finally* gets here, it will be that much more difficult to get out of bed.  It’s always dark, cold, and those blankets are hard to shed at dark-30 in the morning.

This is when accountability becomes that much more important.  We’ve had big numbers through the summer and fall.  Can we sustain that level through the winter?  That will depend on your level of accountability to yourself and your brothers out there in the gloom.  There will always be a Q out there that planned the workout.  He will need your support in just showing up.  There are guys trying to meet fitness goals or weight loss goals and they need help.  We all need the mental help to keep our sanity.  F3 can help with all of those things, if you keep at it and stay connected.  It’s that much harder to come back after taking a long break.  Stay consistent (be like @Birdcage) and it will be that much easier and you’ll be better for it.

Ok, soap box rant over.

The pitch fork is the same, but never easy.  It would be easier if it wasn’t 71 degrees and 100% humidity, but that’s enough complaining.

Thanks to all those that have served our country in the military.  @Chaos and any others that have served, we thank you.

Thanks for coming out guys.  Pretty good numbers for a rainy morning.

Good to see @IvyLeague and @SidViscous out with us for a run.  Keep it up guys.

T-claps to @Wexler, @Pocahantas, and @BirdCage for the early start and extra credit.

@Wexler stole my “local legend” status for French Fields today.  If you see me out there running it in the rain, let me hop on the back of your car for at least one trip.
