Did someone say playground?

All Kannon Backblasts

September 6th, 2020 By Fire Chicken

10 pax arrived on a glorious Saturday morning with temps in the low 70’s and barely a drop of humidity and even a light breeze to go find out once again what is what like to play on some playground equipment.

Mosey to Police station circle for: SSH’s x 25 IC, Backdraft Sat. Nights x 15 IC, and IST’s x 15 IC…

Mosey to Village Park…planking/ab work a couple times along the way to keep up the six, to do a shortened/modified Murph that went like this…
10 sets of 5 pull-ups, 10 merkins, & 15 single count freddy merks…pax instructed to run around merry-go-round while remainder finished.

Mosey back to Cannonballers playground…planking a couple of times to keep up the six…arrive at the much anticipated new playground and well…wait for it, no seriously, wait for it in the moleskin section.

QIC because he’s an awesome professional for “make it up as we go along”, especially when we have to, came up with this…2 lines formed and we embarked on burpees around the stadium stopping at each light post for 1 burpee and when we ran out of light posts in the concession area QIC opted for stopping at each ceiling fan and completing 1 burpee….all told we think it was around 35 burpees around the stadium…

Mosey back to mary stopping a couple of times for some ab work and to keep up the six.

Mary: shortened ab mary of 5 reps each IC of Dying cockroach, freddy merks, hello dollies, low flutters, and LBC’s….passed it on to Gunny for some supermans, ironmans, and aquamans…recover, recover.

Prayers/Announcements: Continue to lift up the country during this time of unrest/division and the upcoming election.  Few more days to get shirt orders in.

Moleskin: Well…we “legally” were able to play on the village park jungle gym without breaking the law and getting kicked off like some of us may or may not have done in the past.  Grandmaster caught up with us there with the flag…late due to alarm clock issues or brown route, didn’t ask….he apparently got accosted while running to meet us and carrying the flag.  Must’ve been a Yankee Kannapolis person as don’t know too many of them that don’t like the American flag.  After much anticipation we ventured over to Cannonballers jungle gym only to find out that it’s “recommended” for 2-5 year old and hobbits…unfortunately our newly named 2.0 is too old and our resident hobbit was someone sleeping off a bender on the back of a firetruck somewhere.  Unfortunately Risky Business is a no show once again on saturday…must be some serious risque business going down on Friday nights….wonder if The Burgh was with him as he’s known to knock 1 or 12 back on a Friday?  Chicken strip was somewhere other than at kannon and Squid was waxing down his wakeboard for the famous Labor Day heavyweight wakeboarding competition at Lake Murray.  Snowman and his 2.0, now named Smack Down, continue to show improvement…keep coming it will get easier!

Everyone have a safe and happy Labor Day!

Always an honor,

Fire Chicken
