PREBLAST: Iron Pax Challenge at Highlands
All BackBlasts BackblastsAugust 13th, 2020
YHC has a challenge for any and all Highlands Pax: Do you think you are the fittest of us all? Time to find out.
In conjunction with the national Iron Pax Challenge (preblast here: https://f3greenwood.com/2020/08/06/2020-ironpax-challenge-preblast/) YHC will be hosting Iron Pax-Highlands during the course of the competition.
The gist is simple:
- Sign up for the Iron Pax Challenge
- Complete every workout during the five-week challenge
- See where you stack up locally and nationally
Starting Tuesday (Aug. 18) the 5:30 a.m. Tuesday beatdown at Highlands transforms into Iron Pax Central. The schedule is as follows:
- 8/18: Primer Workout (just to see what its about)
- 8/25: Week 0 Workout (doesn’t count toward national points, will be used as Highlands tiebreaker)
- 9/1: Week 1
- 9/8: Week 2
- 9/15: Week 3
- 9/22: Week 4
All Pax participating will have their scores logged each week and will be ranked from 1st to last. The Pax with the lowest average rank at the end of Week 4 is the winner. As noted above, we will only average weeks 1-4 unless there is a tie.
Every Sunday or Monday, YHC will post a preblast on Slack detailing the workout and linking a video from F3Greenwood showcasing what will be involved.
Each workout will most likely need a coupon. YHC will provide some cinder blocks, but not a bad idea to bring your own.
What do you, a Pax who wants to participate, need to do? Go to this Google Link (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x5ul7nUahMdikDDdbFxr0xA7RlkaqiPx-kbv4rEPeTA/edit?usp=sharing) and put down your name. This is where we will track our local competition. The national competition has a different place to enter scores.
Do you have to sign up for the national contest to compete at Highlands? No, but why not? Are we going to win? Probably not, though there is a region-based competition this year. Why not see where we stack up?
Let’s push ourselves to get better every day and every week. Who knows, maybe there’ll be a championship belt at the end.
