It better be good

All Concord Backblasts

July 29th, 2020 By Fire Chicken

17 pax…some coming in on 2 wheels, set off on yet another muggy, swampy, damp, and oh yes, “moist” summer morn’ to get their sweat on…YHC was threatened that the beatdown “better be good” since I hijacked it from another pax who didn’t even bother to show…oh well, 0530 let’s mosey.

Warm-o-rama: mosey to top of police deck for 26 SSH’s IC, (because I can and it pisses BCR off), 15 Loose change IC…and another pax chirps from the cheap seats about too many..cough, cough Mayweather, 15 Mtn Climbers IC, & 10 slow count merks…mosey to the thang..

The Thang: arrived at Catfish’s favorite parking lot in Concord only to notice we’d lost some pax, still not sure what happened so the rest of us began and the others showed just as we had started…it went like this
4 corners of parking lot…1st corner 5 burpees, run to 2nd corner for 10 Freddy Merks IC and back to corner 1 for 5 burpees, head back to corner 2 stopping and repeating exercise before heading to corner 3 for 15 merkins and then turn back around heading to corner 2 to repeat and back to corner 1 to repeat.  Think suicides, with stopping going out and coming back for the exercises….Corner 4 was 20 squats and corner 5 (also corner 1) was 25 SSH’s and last corner was 30 LBC’s IC….most made it to corner 5 and some to 6 and beginning to work their way back down…mary called at approx 0608…

Mary: FC’s ab medley of 15 Dying’ cockroaches, 15 freddy merks, 15 low flutters, 15 hello dollies, and 15 LBC’s…all IC and all asked to attempt to keep feet off ground.

Prayers/Announcements: Afton convergence 8/8 and Kannon convergence 8/15, were told to avoid Hospital stair cases for the foreseeable future due to strong possibility of it being awesome host for Covid….lifted up our prayer requests and thanked GOD for HIS GRACE & MERCY…

Moleskin: SO…hopefully it was “good”, sure felt like it but with the temps it’s almost impossible for a workout to be easy these days.  First time I’ve seen Grover at a beat down in at least 3-4 months but wouldn’t you know it, got to keep up with him for a bit and then ended up watching him run away…some things never change.  Pyscho beasted out this morning and was out with the lead pack as he avoided the Paw-paw “let’s talk about the weather and modify crowd”, pretty sure it was Mayweather who took Pyscho’s place today.  I poke fun at Indy but hopefully I’ll be able to be out here doing this when I’m his and Skinner’s age too so much respect.  I think El Ab had a good workout as I’m pretty sure he jogged and talked to each corner then planked while the talking pax group were doing the exercises…Spotted Mountie and Mighty recruiting a dude chilling on the sidewalk so we’ll have to be on the lookout for him in the future.  Homie made his first appearance all week…not sure where he was?  Anyway…appreciate Hip giving me today as I thought you all would enjoy, I guess, this workout as it’s a version of what Hurdle did at Kannon a few weeks ago, I just changed up the mix of exercises and added that hill increased the difficulty of it…till next time.

Always an Honor,
