Chumpatubthumpawamba, what?
All Comanche BackblastsMarch 6th, 2020
Great day for a Mint Hill Metal and passporters visit. YHC put out a pre-blast yesterday stating he would be there at 0520 testing out the acoustics on his blue tooth speaker but his truck would have another idea. The night before I experienced a Christmas tree light show on my ‘burban dash which indicated low oil pressure (argh). Diagnosis is a bad oil pressure sending unit….anyway…..had to do the car switcheroo this morning which put me behind. I arrived at 0525 to see Pax in position and the passporters ready to go and give me $h!t about being late. Wish we had a Trump wall for times like this 🙂 I digress…..
0530 on the clock, time for a lousy disclaimer over the din of the girls still handing out their complements to each other. Warm-O-Rama went something like this (With classic metal rocking the psychedelic blue tooth speaker)……
- SSH x10 IC (no one look at Silas, NO ONE LOOK AT SILAS!…crap, you looked)
- CDD x10IC
- Merkin x10 IC
- LSS x10 IC
- Windmill x10 IC
Grab your favorite bell, overhead carry up the road (both arms, single arm L/R with Rush YYZ blaring), stopping at a few locations in our travels for:
- L hand on bell merkins x10 IC
- Overhead Tricep extensions x10 IC
- Goblet Squats x10 IC
Regular carry the bell back to home base, finish with a set of R Hand on bell merkins x10 IC
The Thang
Get the radio to play a Metal Shuffle mix.
Round 1-Everyone lines up, grabs their favorite bell and does said exercise while one PAX flips a tire back and fro. After finishing, next in line flips and another exercise is called. Exercises were peoples choice and consisted of: curls, The Ax, Book on shelf, figure 8’s, Lawn Mowers, Cucumbers(?), Tricep extensions, Chest press, Etc.
Round 2 – Same thing only Timer does a bear crawl-bell drag.
YHC wanted to try a round or two of hurling bells to tunes. After fighting with his phone to get everything working we ended up doing the following:
Thunderstruck-Thrusters on the word “Thunder”, curl varieties the rest of the time
Chumpatubthumawamba (you know the song)-clean and press on the “I get knocked down” part, called exercise for the rest.
Mary
- Flutter kicks with bell extension x10 IC
- Mason Twist (Chump style) x10 IC
- WWII’s with bells
- Box cutters (no bells)
