Prayer of thanks for the opportunity to exercise and fellowship at zero dark thirty with F3 PAX. Prayers all PAX as we each face each day with the challenges that work, home, kids… life overall, are sure to throw at us.
MOLESKIN
Was chiller than expected. A crisp 34 with a wind-chill that I’m sure made it colder.
Idea for the workout came from seeing that 62 year old ex-marine hold a plank for over 8 hours. Crazy!
Thought I’d include some static hold exercises.
I saw Cupid’s orange hunting hat from the road when I rolled up at 5:28. So, I knew there would be at least 2 of us. Other PAX rolled out of their cars 1 by 1. And Private Ryan rolled in hot on 3 wheels and parked sideways across 3 spots #parkinglinesareforchumps
Spud noted how Thursday was usually low numbers. Which I think makes the 8 of us who posted even more bad-ass, in case that was in question.
The mosey to the mall reinforced how cold the morning was and had me wondering how could find some shelter for the beat down. I made my goal to hide behind store walls during exercises… but it was cold regardless.
Off to station 1 where Backdraft woke up the PAX by slapping the parking sign. When he wears a balaclava you know it’s serious! We almost lost Catfish at Station 2 to one of Gooney’s farts. Station 3 had the necessary Bobby Hurleys. At station 4 we were there to greet Belk workers coming in to open up. They declined an invitation to join.
Good chatter at coffeeteria. Spent time taking prep for the Coronavirus. Noted that if it gets worse we won’t see Tombstone for a while. He’ll get a tap on the shoulder from Uncle Sam to work 24 hours ‘disposing’ of bodies.
As always, thank you for the opportunity to lead.
