The Empire Doesn’t Strike Back…

The Dawg House provided a cruise for the ages on Tuesday. Legends were born, brothers were lost to the dark side, suck was encountered, but most importantly good prevailed against the darkness. Thursday was undoubtedly going shed light on any lingering effects from Tuesdays craziness. YHC was especially curious to how much progress the dark side had mad on the Dawgs since being handily defeated on Tuesday when 7 pax were deceived in the parking lot as the clock struck 5:30.
YHC is happy to report that order in the universe was on full display for the Thursday cruise. We had 7 pax in total (6 runners & 1 rucker). It was a pretty cold morning, but YHC fixed that for the Dawgs by navigating the pax over the track for some speed work. Affer a couple quick warm up laps, YHC let the pax know plan of choice today was 800 meters at accelerated pace (5k pace) then 800 meters off – recovery pace (800m = 2 laps). The pax took the challenge and off into the cold darkness we ran. In the end approximately 5 to 6 miles miles were accumulated as the pax jetted around the track. YHC is most proud to announce that deception did not succeed on this fine cold December morning. The force was strong in this fine group of greyhounds. In the spirit of Christmas, we even let Rerun back in the club. Jury is still out on Hokie Pokie and his dad.
Shout out to Buck for getting in almost 45 minutes of work in the gloom alone. Sorry missed you at the beginning.
