Low-Impact, Highly Effective
Sometimes the holidays get even our able F3 pax worked up and stressed out. What else should one expect when dodging cars, navigating pot holes, shivering in the cold, and tripping around on otherwise unlit grounds, sidewalks, and stairs. So, sometimes we need to change the setting, pace, and goal. This morning 4 pax Mint Hill Pax did just that and met INSIDE at their local ABC location. Yes, that’s right, Arlington Baptist Church has very generously offered their Multi-Purpose, Family Life Center and otherwise INDOOR BAR to our Thursday stretchypants recovery workout. This Big A$$ Room is perfect for stretching out, warming up those cold stiff muscles, and listening to some relaxing MUZAK style riffs from the Piano Guys station on Amazon Prime Music.
This morning’s flow was a little bit different. We didn’t use our mats one time. Instead we moved from end to end of the Volleyball and Basketball courts whilst performing various forms of stretches meant to effect the legs, the hips, the legs, the shoulders, and not to mention the legs. Yes, those 40 and 50 something year old legs don’t always recover as well as they used to, especially when we are busy getting them stuck in pavement cracks, drain grates, and grassy holes. Then before we know it, we are donating our race fees instead of actually running this weekend, in the COLD!
If you are reading this, then yes, you too can join these smarter than average bears as we don comfortable pants, stretch, and recover once a week INSIDE at ABC!
