Two HIM strolled off the grounds at Boondocks — The Village this morning and toured the neighboring hoods to get some mileage in. Brutus was scheduled to Q but is sick so the two of us agreed to split the beatdown up for a People’s Q. We assumed others were traveling for the holidays or fartsacking so at 5:30 we took off. We decided we would travel a bit and here’s how it went down.

The Thang

YHC led the first half — we mosey’d  out of the Village, across Albemarle Rd and out around the DMV office and then looped behind the AAA headquarters bldg and then back across Albemarle Rd to the UHaul lot which was surprisgly well lit probably as a deterrent for potential thefts. We don’t usually come over here so we decided to stop in the bright lights for some pain stations as follows:

• Dips (x20, OYO)
• Derkins (x20, OYO)
• Repeato
• Parking Block Jumps (x20, OYO)
• Head over to a wall next to the bldg for:
  • Incline Plank Walks
  • Incline Merkins (x20, OYO)
  • People’s Chair w/ overhead presses (x20, IC) and overhead claps (x20, IC)

Then Baby Face took over for the second half of the beatdown — starting off with a mosey back to the Village going the back way thru the neighbood behind Albemarle Rd. We utilized the main street running parallel to Albemarle Rd stopping for 3 burpees at each street light until we got back to the school parking lot and over to the hill for quadraphelia (x3, with WWII sit-ups (x20, OYO) at the bottom).

From there — we mosey’d out of the school and across the street to the church for a lap around the full parking lot and then back to the Village – over to the Y entrance for:

• Freddy Mercurys (x20, IC)
• Pretzel Twists:
  • Right Leg (x15, IC)
  • Left Leg (x15, IC)

Afterwards — we enjoyed coffeeteria and some F2 with Larry — best coffee in Charlotte!
