Half Strength. Half Mobility. Half Math. Half Easy.

All Rolling Stone Backblasts

November 18th, 2019 By Heatstroke

The weekend rolls around and no Q for the upcoming Monday Bellbuster, a little more than a trend at this point, but YHC does not mind as sliding in to Q at a late hour leaves little remorse as to what the Pax think about QIC’s beatdown.  The goal is strength, and you can’t get that if you are huffing and puffing the entire 45 minutes, so there would be rest as well.  0530 and balmy, and we got some regulars in Hot Pack, Manwich and Chachi (love calling Chachi a regular, well done sir) and we are joined by a #HIM transplant from The Precinct in Man Down who just moved into Skybrook.  Disclaimer given and we mosey through the extremely well lit HT lot (thank you LED lights! – Manwich #lightexpert confirmed) knocking out some long side shuffles and Kuechly’s and then back to CB with some elbow to instep stretches.  We then proceed to…

Warmarama: SSH, Seal Jacks (with appropriate animal noises via MD,) Windmills, Windmill 2.0s.

The Thang: Strength and Mobility

We alternated Strength circuit with Mobility Circuit every time Pax returned from farmer carry.  Apparently Precinct folk are better at math as YHC was struggling with the pax to station ratio and Man Down was quick to point it out.  He was also quick to point out how easy the workouts were as YHC took some time to explain…then he grabbed all the light bells…  Got just over 2 circuits in and time for…

Mary: All with KB.  American Hammers.  LBCs. Ws. Low Flutters.

Recover, recover.

COT: Prayers for my Dad as he undergoes radiation therapy every weekday for 5 weeks starting tomorrow.  Happy Hour Thursday at JBs.  Gremlin on 1/18 – need at least 10 HCs from the Stone.

Moleskin:  Dude, the lights in HT lot are no joke – crazy bright!  Going to have to bring the beatdowns back down there #sparknutneedsbetterlights.  Man Down was surprised that Sparknut himself wasn’t there at his place of his employment…the rest of us weren’t.  Hot Pack was particularly impressive with the bottoms up kb presses, 35# is no joke, YHC attempted and was struggling.  Welcome to the neighborhood Man Down, your mumblechatter is more than welcome, even if you run to grab a hanky to blow your nose from your car (wth #snotrocket.) The goal was to push the weight as there was a “rest” circuit between strength circuits.  No excuse for it being any kind of “easy” workout as there was plenty of “heavy” out there.  This will likely become a trend for YHC Qs, so if it ain’t your bag, grab the Q first.  SYITG!
