PREBLAST: The 1600for16 Challenge

All All MECA Backblasts

November 18th, 2019 By SoloCup

Join me for a slightly different endurance event, the 1600for16 Challenge.

What is it?

Starting December 1, 2019, you limit your caloric intake to 1600 calories a day for 16 days (December 16, 2019.)

What is it not?

This isn’t the HEC (Healthy Eating Challenge,) it’s completely different.  If you want to eat 1600 calories of Snicker’s Bars or one Big Mac a day, that is on you. I will say that isn’t the recommended strategy to achieve the goal.

Why are we doing this?

For several reasons.

How will we do it?

  1. Join the #1600for16 Channel on Slack (let me know and I will add you)
  2. Sign up by putting your F3 Name on this Google Sheet: http://tiny.cc/1600416
  3. Log your meals and track your daily calories using a meal app, like MyFitnessPal
  4. List your total calories consumed on the Google Sheet at the end of each day: http://tiny.cc/1600416
  5. The Penalty for going over 1600 calories in any one day is 100 Burpees.

Note: Calories burned during a workout are not factored into the total number of calories consumed each day.  E.g. If you eat 2,000 calories and burn 400 at a workout, you fail the challenge for the day.

What do we get if we complete it?

No shirts, medals, or patches. Just the satisfaction of knowing you’re a stud.

Reasons for not doing the Challenge:

No one is going to starve from completing this event. However, there are several legitimate reasons you can choose to pass on this experience.  They are, You:

Remember, this is not a long-term eating strategy and is not recommended for more than two weeks at a stretch.

Questions?  Let me know.

Keep pushing
