Greenway Exploration
All Highlands BackblastsNovember 6th, 2019
Five Pax made the right and good decision to leave the comfort of the fart sack to put some miles in.
The weather was crisp and cool as YHC rolled into the parking lot to see @brinkley planting the shovel flag. A 5 a.m. text message to YHC’s phone told me that Brinkley would be coming from his side of the street alone, as @barrister turned his Tuesday night HC into a NC due to post-birthday blues.
As the clocked neared 5:30 and YHC explained his proposed route through neighborhood greenways to Brinkley, we were joined by @pavarotti, @glock, and @cadabra. YHC re-explained the route, gave a brief disclaimer, and off we went.
The Thang
- Out the main HCES entrance onto Highland Creek Pkwy
- Into the golf course parking lot and down the greenway by the driving range

- Great running with @glock and @pavarotti today. Glad to see @glock back out in the Gloom
- Thanks to Highlands FNG Whisperer @brinkley for running with @cadabra. They did a sightly modified route, opting for the path back around the golf course pond when they couldn’t find the entrance to Meadowmont. Blame YHC for not being clear enough on the route explanation
- TIME LAPS(E)! Only 191 days to train. Plan accordingly
- Continued prayers for Carter and the rest of @alcatraz family as she continues her recovery
- Great to lead the Pax as always. There are still a few spots left in ‘No Repeat November,’ so if you haven’t Q’d in a while sign up now! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0844aba62ca7ff2-master
