22 PAX emerged from the ‘sack to bask in the teacher workday-fueled glory of ASEC…

Your Q had been eyeing the Country school calendar for a teacher workday, because it was long past time I pay a visit to the OG brotherhood in Concord. November 5th worked checked all the necessary boxes but for one problem – it seemed no one wanted to Q. Some time yesterday evening it occurred to me that we’re only about three weeks past the sixth anniversary of my first ever Q (10/15/13), so I grabbed it.

Some things have changed in the years since I moved to the ‘Burg. You guys hear the word ‘mosey’ and think it means to run just fast enough that you can still carry on a conversation about fantasy football. You guys hear ‘plank’ or ‘recover’ and think it means to resume your conversation about fantasy football. But as @Backdraft and @Phidippides observed, that much chatter can only mean the Q isn’t working you hard enough.

Speaking of hard work, there were some sore calves limping around ASEC even before we started. That can be attributed to the final closing event at Saturday’s Field Day officially known as “SSH Until You Die”. Not wanting the non-participants to feel left out, I hit everyone with the infamous Motivator. Per @ChickenStrip, this one originated up at F3 Indianapolis and it’s now making it’s way around the MECA region. It’s a good one to cap off any WARM-UP segment, and good practice for anyone considering the SSH event at next year’s Field Day.

So I mentioned my maiden Q was almost exactly six years ago. Just for fun I looked up the PAX that attended that one, and I see one name appearing both then and today – @Deertick. I also see a certain @WD40 attended back in 2013, seems familiar but not sure what happened to that guy. Anyways it was fun to Q such a large and raucous group this morning.

Until the next time I make the trek up north –
