Another attempt at a hundred at M3
All BackBlasts BackblastsAugust 23rd, 2019
YHC rolled into Christian Brothers and was joined by 4 other studs (because of course YHC is one…) for another exciting edition of M3. In today’s episode it was time to tackle the brutal ABC 100 WOD…except we didn’t do it at the ABC store…sooo the CB 100 then. Anyhoo, disclaimer given and we are off…kind of…as we don’t ever get even 25 yards away from CB.
Warmarama: 2 laps around the lot with elbow to instep stretches, SSH, Windmills, Windmill 2.0s (will need a name for this one,) Arm circles
M1: CB 100 – 4 rounds – 17 minute time cap
- 25 Double Unders (50 Single unders)
- 25 Butterfly sit ups
- 25 Alternating Single arm KB snatches
- 25 Slam Balls
M2: Stretching focusing on the calves, hammies, hips and a little chest
M3: No merlot, but YHC did bring coffee for the final weekday of no school
COT: Prayers for Sugar’s stepdad recovering from heart surgery. Prayers for good employment matches. Prayers for all children, teachers, etc. with school starting next week
Poutine is putting together a weekday EVENING beatdown, stay tuned. QSource Grinders tomorrow at 0830 at Barista Craft (closest) and Kilowatt is hosting the one at Rocky River in Harrisburg if you are inclined to travel just a bit. The return of MeCa Mental Battle next week, will be quarterly.
Moleskin: The CB 100 wins again. No finishers. Not sure if the time cap needs to be adjusted or what, but that 17 minutes goes FAST. YHC hasn’t swung bells in a while and it showed, as the baby soft hands became not baby soft almost immediately, and got a sweet blister as proof. Chalk may need to make gloom appearances. Great effort by everyone. Good to see Firestone out as a M3 regular. There was discussion from Firestone about launching a new Saturday workout at Christ the King nearby, we would need some Stoner support for sure. He said he could probably get some LKN pax to show as well. The Manwich/Hot Pack combo continue to be a dynamic duo in the gloom, strong. It was great to see Life Alert putting in work…oh wait….YHC greatly underestimated his ability to spit for distance as Roomba can attest “Did you just spit on my car?”… It was great to get back to some strength work. It’s definitely a different game when you add resistance outside of your bodyweight. Hope my golfer’s elbow stays away, as Life Alert’s cortisone shot has worked like magic. Have a great weekend brothers
