The 1st ever running of the Jeffrey Epstein route
All Rolling Stone BackblastsAugust 14th, 2019
YHC has had some harebrained ideas, but this one might take the cake. The Jeffrey Epstein Route. In case you are living under a rock, Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a Manhattan jail cell a few days ago. Its been ruled a suicide, but quite a few have questioned the validity of that finding as his testimony was looking to name some powerful folk. Ole Jeff was in jail awaiting trial/testimony for being a piece of trash who was trafficking young girls. Nobody is sad he is gone, which is why YHC maybe/kinda/maybe not could get away with using it to name a route after his “suicide.” So, disclaimer given and instructions voiced to 7 brave pax who arrived even after YHC put out a pre-blast about this absurdity.
There are a number of bridges on the 1.4 mile greenway at good old Rolling Stone. So why not some bridge…suicides.
- Run to the 1st bridge, cross, then return to start of greenway.
- Run to 2nd bridge, cross, return to start
- Rung to 3rd bridge (dock,) return to start
- etc. etc.
Manage your time and get as much mileage in as possible. Most all got to the 4th bridge, with some doubling back for more closer bridges.
COT: Prayers to the victims of JE and others that might have been involved. JE’s passing would appear to have kept bringing others to justice, which is the worst part of this thing. Prayers that justice somehow finds all who were involved in this enterprise. Prayers to Kilowatt’s son and daughter. Dealing with diabetes and seizures, respectively. Put your healing and protective hands on them Lord. Also, prayers that an awesome employment match finds Sugar soon. Announcement: The Month from Hill continues tomorrow in downtown Concord, YHC will unwisely be there.
Moleskin: I might need some sensitivity training after this one. Suicide is certainly not something to be joked about…except I thought maybe I could swing it on this one. We try to talk a decent bit about mental health around here, so we definitely want to be respectful, but I believe JE was beyond help. Anyhoo, outside of the theme, I thought the route was pretty decent as while it didn’t keep everyone necessarily together, it kept everyone on a “closed” course where we were in contact frequently. And sweet lord the HUMIDITY!! I’m coming in on 3 years in F3 and I don’t think I have run in more humid conditions. Great job by all. Soprano, with his double shirt going on, was practically ranting like a madman about how much he loved the heat and humidity. Nice work by Sugar as the solo rucker out there, pretty much shuffling every time I saw him. Strong. Nice job by MC getting out there as well with a bad back, unfortunately he was feeling it today. Hot Pack apparently never got the flag out of the CB trunk on Monday…and it still resides there… Take care of yourselves men and have a great week.
