Hills and Thrills
All Highlands BackblastsJuly 9th, 2019
26 of Meca’s baddest gathered in the gloom this am to get after it and get better. Temps read 79 degrees! That has to be a near record for 5:30 am start. Humidity felt like 179% so it was quite comfortable. Weather issues aside, the Pax represented for a full 45+ mins. Shenanigans went a little something like:
Warmarama:
- Mosey front, right side shuffle, reverse mosey, left side shuffle
- SSH IC x 15
- Windmill IC x 10
The Thang:
Mosey to bike rack and find a partner
- Partner merkins / partner dips x 15 x 2
Mosey to small hill on side of RRMS parking lot
- 5/1 ladder with burpees and jump lunge (2=1)
Mosey to small hill beside RRMS
- Partner 10/2 ladder by 2.
- P1 sprints to top of hill and knocks out merkins, P2 bottom of hill donkey kicks til P1 returns. Swap, rinse, repeat til done.
Mosey up the sidewalk to the bleachers between fields.
- P1 runs to end of sidewalk and back, P2 reps it out
- Swap, rinse, repeat
- 100 derkins, 200 dips combined
Mosey back down sidewalk to bottom of big hill behind RRMS
- Partner 10/2 ladder by 2.
- CDD at top, Apolo Ohno at bottom
- Swap, rinse, repeat til done.
Mosey attempted behind RRMS, though looks like the school is actually taking an interest in growing some grass on the soccer field. Baby grass all over and irrigation system running so reverse and back from whence we came and mosey back to front of school bike racks. Haven’t we been here before?
- Partner merkins / partner dips x 15 x 2
Mosey back to Mary with jail break/all you got for those that had anything left in the tank.
Mary:
- Low flutter IC x 15
- Mason Twist IC x 15
Moleskin
- Awesome numbers again this am.
- And, the recent influx of FNGs continues with the naming of Juice and Warwick.
- Pre-Disclaimer provided on Slack last night about some off road fun. Technically, all that hill work was off road and with the threat of rain last night, well… wanted to be sure nobody got any boo-boos. See @barrister and his ant fight.
- @Disaster reminded the Pax to tweet the number from each beat down. Tell us again @Disaster what your Twitter handle is?
- Enjoyed it again this morning men. Hope you did!

@Kleanup you can hit me up on Twitter at my handle(?) #imtoooldforthiscrap. I am also available on the “on-line” as discussed with @Nanny after today’s beatdown.
Thanks for leading us this morning and not making it too complicated for us old folks. Nice job by my partner @Moop Dog today. Don’t lose that visor man.
