YHC had the great idea that if the Dawg House track was open, we’d hit it for some speed work.  If it was locked, well, no need to think negatively so I didn’t worry about it…..until about 5:32.

4 men who truly love to run joined me for the cruise so when 5:30 hit, off we went to check the gates and locks.  Dawg House security obviously did their job so no entry to the track.  YHC had no desire to run the regular bird run, or the apartment run, or peak to peak, or basically crossover Pitts School Road at all, so we stayed on the school grounds.

The on-the-fly plan was to run the parking lot loop at a nice pace.  If anyone felt at anytime like picking up the pace, then take off, run as hard as you can until you catch back up to the PAX.  This would have been an awesome plan except the PAX needed to be running about a 9 min pace instead of 740s in order for a guy to catch up.  Still worth the effort though.

Also did some sprints up the parking lot, then down the parking lot.

We also cruised behind the school to check out the great lighting- thanks to the school for replacing all the burned out bulbs.

Circle up, count off 5 strong, pray it out, better for it.

 

Prayers for Rerun’s daughter to heal up from the surgery last week; for Booter to keep healing from his shoulder ordeal (guy runs strong to have one arm in a sling strapped to his body); praise for awesome weather and guys showing up to hold each of us accountable.
