Highlands Seven Year Anniversary
All All MECA BackblastsMay 4th, 2019
Thirty two men came from far and wide to help the Highlands celebrate their seven year anniversary a few days early. Some of them doubled down and showed up for the UNC Charlotte beatdown this morning at 530AM. One of them didn’t work out at all but showed up anyway (names are withheld to protect the innocent). At 7AM a disclaimer was given and the PAX were off for a three pronged beatdown as follows:
WARMARAMA
- SSH IC X 30
- IST IC X 15
- Merkins IC X 15
- Windmill IC X 10
- CP IC X 10
- MC IC X 20
THE THANG
The PAX counted off by threes and were sorted into three groups. Each group was assigned a Master Q and used an Indian Run to reach their starting destination. The group spent 15 minutes at each location and then rotated over to the next destination.

COT and BOM and Prayer (Powerball)
2nd F with coffee, water, doughnuts, Chick-Fil-A
@Kleanup threw in a late challenge for the PAX to complete 21 burpees in honor of UNC Charlotte student RIley Howell, who sacrificed his life to save others during a campus shooting on Tuesday night. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the families of Riley and fellow student Reed Parlier, who lost their lives, as well as other students who were wounded.
MOLESKIN
- Thanks to everyone who posted today. Special thanks go out to our three master Q’s @Gordo, @Murdock, and @Powerball. And TClaps to those men who doubled down and showed up for the UNC Charlotte beatdown at 530AM. Well done.
- I missed someone in the PAX listing so if you know who I left off sound off below and I will add them back in. My phone didn’t record so I had to use the PAX photo to piece the names together.
- I’m sorry that I missed today’s beatdown. Food duty is a lot harder than it sounds. Apparently you’re supposed to pre-order those Chick-Fil-A mini’s. Who knew? Still worth the wait.
- I joined Highlands about 3 1/2 years ago so I’ve been here for about half of its existence. Most of our PAX have been here much longer than I have. As @Powerball shared in his prayer, F3 has been a tremendous influence on my life. Thanks to all of you who have been there along the way. Looking forward to many more years to come.
- Special recognition goes out to those guys who posted at HCES on the first day, May 8, 2012: @Gump, @Gamma, @Frodo, @Oboe, @Titanium, @Haskell, and @Skipper. Well done men. Your investment has really paid off.
- It was good to see @Ambassador and @Mugshot back in the gloom with us today. Highlands taking an early lead in the Kotter division of the latest MECA challenge. Welcome back men.
- Special prayers going out today to @BOS future mother-in-law, as well as requests by @Poutine and @Greek. Also please keep the UNC Charlotte community in your prayers this week.

It was an absolute honor to have small part in today’s celebration of Fitness, Fellowship, & Faith. HUGE s/o to @Disaster for sacrificing the ability to post for the sake of gathering the coffee and grub, as well as the general management of today’s event.
Thanks to all for posting.
Iron Sharpens Iron
@Peanuts was the missing PAX. Thanks to @Powerball for catching that for me.
