Hunter’s Hills
All Kannon BackblastsMarch 25th, 2019
7 arose to welcome another Monday that greeted them with no rain and temps in the low 50’s.
After having to go the long route, about an extra .6 miles to get to AO all of were off at approximately 0530ish.
Warm-up: 1 mile run to the very bottom of Elm and wait for instructions, which proved to be quite difficult for 2 pax to be named later.
The THANG…now forever known as Hunter’s Hills..run all the way up Elm turning around at top hang a right on Goldston and left “downhill” to bottom of Oval turning around and run all the way up Oval turning around at top and back to a left on Goldston and right “downhill” back to bottom of Elm….rinse and repeat. (Always go downhill when you run across Goldston)
COT…Prayers/announcements: none specifically mentioned but lifted pax and families up.
Moleskin: pax got in 4.5-4.8 with well over 2 miles of hills. Plan was to repeat hills twice, which some did, and then perform Hills a third time but Indian run style. However, grandmaster and the Burgh, but more specifically grandmaster thought when he saw me pick up Gunny I was calling for Mary but there was NO mention of that. The pax that listened gathered at the bottom of Elm anxiously awaiting the Burgh and Grandmaster but it wasn’t to be. Chicken strip decided to go find them and then he never reappeared from the gloom. We were down to the “final four” so we attempted a mini Indian run to try and find the 3 lost pax…QIC broke off in search of them across Goldston but nothing. Reluctantly the final four moseyed back to the AO hoping our lost 3 were there…but they weren’t…oh my. Finally about a minute later we saw the glimmering lights of Chicken Strip’s vest and Grandmaster’s headlamp. After trying to explain themselves as to why and where they were it was obvious that the hills got the best of them. Been planning this Elm to Goldston to Oval run ever since Ragnar introduced us to a portion of Elm and it did not disappoint. Props to Anvil who was a genius to dub these hills as Hunter’s Hills…I now know I’ve made it in this world. Concord has Skinner’s hills and Kannon has Hunter’s hills.
Great work today and always an honor!
