Site Q to the Res-Q!

All Boondocks Backblasts

March 19th, 2019 By Othello

Monday, #Piledriver at the Vet, time to start the week off right!  As site Q I have Q’s lined up until April 8-awesome.  Everyone is pitching in and I am so proud. Today, Mr. The Body is on for Q.  Watch out as we all know when he Q’s its bound to be a burpee-fest.  However, he was injured recently after taking a fall in his garage and bruising a bunch of ribs…will he show?  Don’t think so, but I’m prepared to lead and have pulled a good Beat Down from my bag-o-tricks (aka make it up on the fly).  Just need people to post.

Sitting in the truck, checking slack, checking twitter, checking slack again…here comes a car.  Headlights get closer…no….can’t be….The Body?  WTF!?  He parks next to me, rolls his window down, gives me that devilish smile and says…”I’m here!!”  Now that is a person who took his red-pill today.  No #fartsack in his blood.  We step out and wait for the rest to arrive…2..3…4…….9.  Time called at 0530 and a lousy disclaimer was given.  No, I mean it, the Body’s disclaimer is really lousy but it gets the point across 🙂  We all grunt in approval.

He begins to take us on a mosey around the parking island only to stop dead in his tracks after a few feet to say it “hurt to much running forward, lets backpedal instead.”  OK, backpedaling we go making our way over to the grassy area by the track.  We circle up for a little warm-o-rams.

Now pay attention kids because this is where it gets interesting.  The Body starts with a “deconstructed burpee”….”1!”-hands on ground, “2!”-plank position, “3/4!”-merkin, “3/4!”-merkin, “3/4!”-merkin (repeato like 7 times), 5, 6 back up.  That was 1.  After round three of these things The Body gets up, looks a little woosy, stumbles a bit, looks at me and says….”take over, please”.  YHC to the Res-Q!  The rest went something like this…

IST x10 (x denotes cadence)
Windmill x10

Mosey over to the pavillion
5 rounds of the following:
-5 Burpees, 10 dips, 15 Incline Merkins, 20 step-ups (10 ea leg – now I know it should have been 20 ea leg but some of the guys can’t listen because they are old, especially the one who’s Bday was today.  He does it wrong so then the guy next to him does it wrong.  Then I say “F-it”, I do it wrong and then the guy in front of me says, “I thought it was 20 ea leg?”.  AArrrrgghhh!!!
Plank-up when finished

Mosey to the parking lot and pair up.  Each Pax sprints in opposite direction of each other, they meet on the other side and “high five” each other, then backpedal to meet their partner again.  Repeato 2 more times.
Low flutter until the Six comes in.
Rosalita x10

Mosey to the rock pile, ping pong off the six until they arrive.
Line up at the base of the hill for some ladders.
Round one:  2-10 Mt. Climbers (in cadence), run up the hill 1-5 Burpees
Round two:  2-10 Air Squats (single count), run up the hill 1-5 Burpees
LBC’s until the Six finishes
Mosey over to the flag, ping-pong off the Six.

Piledriven/Woosy Q/Q to the ResQ-moleskine
1. The Body – I hope you are feeling better brother.  Glad to have you out being responsible for your Q but I don’t need you hurting yourself.  Let us know if you need anything, OK?
2.  We have a great group of guys in this Pax and everyone has really stepped up to Q lately, makes me proud.  However, I need to suggest that we hold our own little Q-school one day for cadence counting.  There is a specific way to count cadence and everyone is doing it differently.  I highly suggest you watch this Dredd You-Tube video as a refresher. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tT7afkk2toA and practice, practice, PRACTICE!!
3.  Everyone looked super strong today!!  Those hill ladders are no joke but what a way to get the heart pumping, right?!
4.  Hugo-Happy Bday brother!  We are all better for knowing you and you for knowing us 🙂 glad you posted today.  Now, lets talk about hearing aids…..
5.  BLC, Chum, Big Tuna – strong work as always, you guys rock!
6.  Packman – I think you run faster backwards than forwards
7.  Manbun – you never stop trying and that is admirable.  One day you are going to run circles around us, AYE!
8. Bluecrush-anyone ever watch him when he works out?  He never takes a shortcut on any exercise.  He doesn’t care if he is last in the group, he always completes the exercise with full range of motion, to completion – #admirable #leader

Always an honor to lead….Othello out!
