I thought I would try something different today by actually signing up to Q on the Sign Up Genius. My efforts must have paid off because eight men showed up on a cold and icy Friday for yet another disastrous beatdown. The PAX might have hoped that the old guy would let them off easy today but no such luck. Lots of sore legs this morning. Here’s how it all went down:

Long, meandering mosey up to middle school track that included backwards runs, slaloms, side shuffles, and high knees. We ran into some pretty severe ice on the hill heading up to the track but fortunately no one wiped out. Special thanks to @Skipper, @Poutine, and @Pavarotti who were wise enough to bring their headlamps this morning. Good call gentlemen.

Warm up mosey lap around the track. Split up into two teams of four on opposite sides of the track for the main event.

• 50 yard sprint X 6
• 100 yard sprint X 4
• 200 yard sprint X 2
• 400 yard sprint X 1
• The two teams rejoined around 6AM as we started to run out of time
• 200 yard sprint X 1
• 100 yard sprint X 2
• 50 yard sprint X 1

1. Thanks to everyone who came out today. You guys were really pushing it out there this morning. We could see @Poutine’s headlamp from across the track and he looked like a freight train. No head bob whatsoever.
2. @Little Buddy continues to make me feel really old and I may be putting him on Speed probation if he continues to run me under the table like he did today. Nice work dude.
3. Apparently Group Two didn’t get the memo about walking back to the starting line after each run and chose to use the back and forth method instead. They got a much more thorough beatdown than we did but ours was more fun.
4. It was nice to see @Wild Turkey back with us after an extended break over the holidays. Welcome back sir.
5. @Powerball and @Gordo have the co-Q tomorrow at MCCP. No word yet if there is a pre-ruck event anywhere
6. Murph Monday on January 28 at HCSC at 530AM. Also available at Tradition at the same time.
7. Don’t forget the Winter Gala tomorrow night starting at 8PM at Twenty Six Acres. Heavy drinkers and old people with early bedtimes may appear as early as 7PM.
8. Call a parent this weekend and let them know you love them . I’m sure they already know but it’s always nice to hear it out loud every once in a while.
