Six brave souls braved the cold temps (20 degrees) and the pain from the Gremlin CSAUP on Saturday to make themselves stronger and better men.  One by one they rolled in….only 6?  Where were the others?  Sleeping snuggly in their beds? But The Body is out here in a sleeveless shirt and shorts, can’t be that bad….or can it?

After a lousy disclaimer, we were off.  YHC grabbed the Shovel Flag and the rest of the Pax followed, up Hwy 218 to the blinking light (1/2 mile run).  Post the flag and circle up for a little Warm-O-Rama.

YHC then grabbed the flag again and we were off, back down 218 stopping at the corner of 218/Quail Park Dr.  Plant the Flag. There, we ran down Quail Park Drive until we passed 6 street signs of various nature.  Then, the beat down went something like this….

Partner up.  P1 does 10 Burpees/10 Squats/10 Merkins (any order) and when finished they move up to the next sign closer to the Shovel Flag.  P2 runs all the way back to the first sign (by the Shovel Flag) and back to meet P1.  P2 then finishes the round that P1 was doing while P1 now runs to the Shovel Flag and back to meet reconnect with P2. Etc, Etc, until all have rotated and met up at the Shovel Flag by 218.  Let’s just say we were not cold after that round 🙂

YHC picks up the Flag again and moseys over to the track for a little “Filthy Fives”.  Start at one corner, do 5 Merkins, then run around the track to the 3rd corner, do 5 Bobby Hurley’s.  Back at start, 10 Merkins, then at the 3rd corner do 10 BH’s, repeato, increasing the count by 5’s, continue until time is called.

Mosey to the Cars for come Mary.  Here we did…
Bicycles x25 (or was it?)  The Body was counting one number, Chum another, YHC yet another…it was a cacophony of counting that didn’t make much sense at all, but who’s counting?   WE WERE!
