The Armistice
All Rolling Stone BackblastsNovember 27th, 2018
The Armistice was an agreement signed by representatives of France Great Britain and Germany. It was an agreement to end fighting as a prelude to peace negotiations. The Treaty of Versailles signed 6 months later would act as the peace treaty between the nations.
So with your History lesson complete… 11 rolled in to partake in this celebration of the nonrunner. Disclaimer was given and a mosey to the bball courts for warmarama.
11 IC of the following. windmills, ISTs, cotton pickers, merkins, arm circles, slow climbers to stretch the foot/calve
Line up on one end shoulder to shoulder arms arms around each other to keep warm and lunge walk the length of both courts. hit the shelter for the main course.
The Armistice – 11 min AMRAP 11 Merkins, 11 Burpees, 19 WWIIs, 18 Air Squats I believe I made 4 full rounds and through burpees on the 5th. Very quiet. Plenty of time left grab some blocks and return to the shelter.
Around the Horn – 1 movement 1 pax at a time until the circle is complete. Colt 45s, Shoulder presses, Tricept ext. Lat raises then modified into 10 block swings oyo, Sumo squats, Chest presses, sit and presses. During shoulders I believe the block became more than Marie Calendar could bare and decided to bust it. long sighhhhhhh. Return blocks
Lunge walk back across court arm in arm to pay out. 25 LBCs IC and time was called
Great work gentlemen. And my favorite quote from Marie Calendar’s favorite movie…” The cold never bothered me anyway”
This is GOD’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as GOD: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’ Jeremiah 33:3

I feel compelled to note that Armistice Day, 11/11/1918, was the end of World War I, yet our exercise was the World War II sit up. Perhaps WWII could have been avoided had there been more sit ups performed 20 years earlier. Just a thought.
