Three men showed up at the Highland Creek Sports Club this morning to honor our armed forces and the memory of Lieutenant Michael Patrick Murphy through our monthly running of the Murph. Two of them actually showed up on time. Here’s how it all went down:

• Run one mile and return to the Sports Club playground
• 10 pull ups
• 20 merkins
• 30 air squats
• Repeat exercises 10 times
• Run one mile and return to the parking lot

1. It was looking more and more like date night at the start with only two men arriving by 530AM. Fortunately @Stoli showed up and chased us down on the first lap to prevent @Kleanup from doing something he might regret later.
2. The weather was absolutely perfect this morning with a kickoff temperature right at 50 degrees.
3. YHC stayed up past 11PM watching the Red Sox finish off the Dodgers last night so it wasn’t easy escaping the fartsack this morning. I felt a little bit like the Dodgers as I sat back and watched @Kleanup and @Stoli crush the Murph today. Well done gentlemen.
4. We felt really safe today with Highland Creek Security parked just inside the entrance to the Sports Club parking lot. It was only later that we realized that the car was unoccupied. #falsesenseofsecurity
5. There was an unusual absence of animals in the surrounding woods this morning. Maybe the owl, fox, and coyote are already hibernating. See you guys next spring.
6. Thanks to the #skywalker running team for dropping by to say hello to us. Even more eyewitnesses to the rare @Stoli sighting we had this morning.
7. No sign of the #mettle crew this morning. I guess they took the week off.
8. @Alcatraz has the ‘Q’ at Highlands tomorrow so show up at 530AM to see what he has in store for the PAX. He never fails to disappoint.
