The Snap heard around the schoolyard
All BackBlasts BackblastsOctober 24th, 2018
10 of us cringed when we heard the dull pop of a rubber band and saw the 11th rolling around on his back clutching his ankle. He found the hole.
YHC did give the disclaimer about modify modify modify, and the ground is uneven.

NOTES
- Passport stamps issued to Anvil and Big Tuna! Thanks for the visit!
- Anvil deserves 2 stamps for pulling YHC around downtown Mint Hill for 2 miles after the beatdown.
- YHC thought one of the pax had spoken up for this Q-spot but guessed the guy was too busy getting his passport stamped somewhere else (Concord) since he was a no show and YHC had to pull one out of his back pocket.
- High Chair is a tough one and deserves the #SEIKO branding of “takes a lickin and keeps on tickin” though that might lead to #mumblechatter later. YHC hates to see anyone get hurt during a workout but it was good to see him stand back up and keep on keeping on. Just hope the M doesn’t take it too hard on him back at the ranch.
WORDS FROM WISDOM
The sluggard says, “There is a lion outside!
I shall be killed in the streets!” Proverbs 22:13 ESV
There is always gonna be something outside our comfort zone. It is often scary or even vicious and tempts us to stay “inside”. Don’t continue to act the #SadClown who stays in the warm comfort of your “zone” for fear of possible injury, dismemberment, humiliation, or even death. These results are possible but more so are the possibilities of growth, impact, and joy. None of us completely controls our world. We might think we control our little piece of it but not even that is true. So, accept the reality that the strong-arm of our “control” extends far shorter than we think it does; the truest limit of this reach usually doesn’t extend much farther than the tip of our own nose or the drum in our ears. This is not fatalism or surrender. No! This is hefting the shield of Faith that we stand behind when we step out of our “zones” and step into this world around us as #HIMs. True: arrows, spears, or even lions are out there lurking in the tall grass and shadowy places. False: they will kill you. Take up your shield and trust the outcome to the one who flung the stars with the same breath he shaped you with in your mother’s womb.
