Preseason Week Four – Bring in the backups
All Highlands BackblastsAugust 31st, 2018
Three men showed up at Highland Creek Elementary School this morning for another round of Speed. @Pavarotti had already pre-announced that he would not be making an appearance today. Apparently he was either nursing a hangover and/or trying to figure out why he drafted so many Steelers players on his fantasy team last night. Regardless, just like the NFL’s tradition of playing the scrubs in Week Four of the preseason, YHC got his chance to come off the bench for a little game time action. Here’s how it all went down:
Mosey up to the track, with backwards runs, high knees, Stoli Skips, and side shuffles along the way. The gate was already open so they must have been expecting us.
- Warmup mosey around the track
- 50 meter sprint, mosey back to starting line, repeato X 4
- 100 meter sprint, mosey up to the next starting line, repeato X 3
- 200 meter sprint, mosey up to the next starting line, repeato X 2
- 400 meter sprint, mosey up to the next starting line
- 200 meter sprint, mosey up to the next starting line, repeato X 2
- 100 meter sprint, mosey up to the next starting line, repeato X 3
- 50 meter sprint , mosey back to starting line, repeato X 4
- Mosey back to the main parking lot for closure

- Nice job by the PAX today. @Kleanup was the clear leader in the shorter sprints, while @Pony Boy dusted everyone in the longer runs. They either got tired or were just feeling charitable but the leaders even let YHC win a few of the 50 meter dashes in the last set. #egobooster
- The temperatures have dropped and it is noticeably darker out there but the humidity is as thick as ever. No shortage of sweat from the PAX this morning.
- Football and soccer are in full swing these days, and we got a complete update on some of the local high schools this morning. Come out and support the teams tonight if you get a chance.
- Still no sign of Stoli this morning.
- The Sign Up Genius is very empty for September. We need a ‘Q’ for Last Call at Mallard Creek Community Park tomorrow morning. Please sign up to ‘Q’ if you haven’t done so in a while. YHC may be forced to bring back the clipboard and volun-tell some guys to lead if we don’t see some new names on the list soon. Remember, if a wimpy little accountant like me can do this then anyone can.
- Enjoy the long weekend everyone. Convergences are available on Labor Day at Comanche (7AM), Rolling Stone (7AM kettlebells), and White Lightning (530AM for you early birds). Come out and try a new AO if you get a chance.

Thx for covering my Smartsack, Disaster! Great workout and BB. I hate that I missed it.
