6 Men gathered for a little discussion on part 2 of the QSource Foundation: Language. After a brief discussion on Genesis 11:6 — The Lord said, “if as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them”. We were of to the Socratic of our PP slides. Where the real discussion began.

Language Socratic:
How has the theory of leadership changed over time?

Does the culture have any effect upon the language of leadership?
 
Is there one common language of leadership?

Conversation began referencing current events regarding how language has effected our culture (positively or negatively) but then migrated to a discussion regarding smaller groups/organizations (F3, Work teams, etc)

Then the Spur:

Leadership is evolutionary, not revolutionary.

The culture denatures words to uselessness.

Effective groups have a unique Language.

The takeaway for YHC on this Q Source lesson is that a group, team etc can be very effective if their all ‘speaking the same language’. That is, the vision is shared and understood by all, the same ideology has been taught/reinforced and they communicate well and sometimes in a unique form or fashion. As Leaders our focus should be to teach and reinforce those points.
