Native American Speed
All Highlands BackblastsJuly 6th, 2018
Four men showed up at HCES this morning to make themselves a little bit faster. Unfortunately @Pavarotti took a challenging workout and decided to make it a little bit harder. Here’s how it all went down.
Warmup mosey out of the parking lot and through the rabbit hole. Turn right at Highland Creek Parkway and head back up through the entrance to the middle school.
Run ladders up the haunted parkway hill towards Street Street, rotating exercises after each tree. Repeato coming back down the hill as follows:
- Forward and backwards sprints
- Sprints and Stoli Skips
- Side shuffles left and right
Mosey up to the track for the main event
Warmup lap around the track, followed by a second “sprint” lap around the track.
Partner up and spread out fifty yards down the track. Partner one sprints to partner two, who sprints back to the starting line. Repeato
Spread out one hundred yards down the track. Partner one sprints to partner two, who sprints back to the starting line. Repeato.
Spread out on opposite sides (220 yards) of the track. Partner one sprints to partner two, who sprints back to the starting line. Repeato.
Modify before the PAX can mutiny. Partners complete a two-man Native American run around the track for time. Repeato, but this time with a four-man Native American run for time. Both races came in at just over two minutes, which is a slow lap but an eight minute mile pace which isn’t bad.
No time to go back down the ladder so the PAX moseyed back to the parking lot, with @Next Door nearly taking out the track fence along the way.

- Thanks to all who posted today. We didn’t quite have half-a-tener since new Speed convert @Zima was on vacation today. Nice work by @Next Door in his first appearance at Speed.
- Safe travels for @Pavarotti and his family as they head up to Ohio for the weekend.
- Still no sign of @Stoli
- Clearly @Next Door has much better work stories than the rest of the PAX.
- @Disaster will be hosting the “fastest man challenge” on Tuesday at the Highlands. @Pavarotti will not be there to defend his title so the “trophy” is up for grabs. @Dime Bag looks like he might have the wheels and stamina to take the crown.
- Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Good stuff, Disaster. Thx for covering the BB. We are passing through wild and wonderful West Virgina right now.
