14 pax + 1 FNG welcomed a little less humid morning for what was promised as a hard workout by the QIC. Disclaimer provided and off we mosied to loop around the parking lot and pick up Hammer who was arriving 1 minute late as usual and headed down to the playground field for some Warm-o-Rama

The Thang
I’ve been wanting to run this workout before as I remember it being a bear when I did it at highlands. My former neighbor in Highland Creek 10 years ago was Disaster and he regularly Q’s the Dropcloth 500. Since it is ligher much earlier now I want to take advantage of the lower areas in the AO and the “track around the lower playground lot was perfect. Pax was instructed to run a lap and then perform the following series of exercises building upon each by the number of laps run.

Lap 1 – 10 Burpees
Lap 2 – 20 Lunges – single leg
Lap 3 – 30 Merkins
Lap 4 – 40 Squats
Lap 5 – 50 LBC’s
Lap 6 – 60 Rocky Balboas
Lap 7 – 70 Freddy Mercury’s

IF you finished all 7 laps like Softwood, Hardwood, Forgotten Jelly, 10-2 and Chicken Strip this is what you did!

Naked Moleskin

  1. QIC had some sight issues during Warm-o-Rama and thought he was calling out BuckWheat for getting out of Cadence but BuckWheat was a no-show.
  2. Great Showing by FNG – Brad VanPelt today.  We have seen lesser workout cause a rainbow shower by a FNG — you represented today!
  3. I don’t know who was calling me out about not liking grass — I like working out on grass — just not wet and rainy grass!
  4. I admit I cheated on the burpees on laps 5, 6 and 7.  Even so I didn’t finish — missed the Freddy Mercury’s and Merkins on lap 7 also!
  5. Great to see both Bollywood and Jackpot back out!
  6. As I was having coffee at the Highlands Starbucks this morning I ran into Pavorati who told me that today was DropCloths 5 year Anniversary — what a coincidence!!

  1. Comanche will be closed on Thursday.  Pax agreed to head over to Highlands to help Sully celebrate his 5 year Anniversary
