Outfoxed at the Murph

All Highlands Backblasts

June 25th, 2018 By Disaster

Six men posted at the Highland Creek Sports Club this morning to honor the memory of Lt. Michael Patrick Murphy through our monthly running of The Murph. Here’s how it all went down.

COT and BOM (Thanks to @Bootstrap for praying us out)

MOLESKIN

  1. It was REALLY humid out there. Lots of sweat angels provided by the PAX. I am seriously considering getting a Zoolander style headband to keep the sweat out of my eyes. Hopefully @Kleanup didn’t buy the last one.
  2. @Powerball thought he was the first to arrive this morning only to find a wild fox waiting for him in the parking lot. No other wildlife seen but there are a lot of woods down there so we’ll keep an eye out.
  3. Thanks to @Bootstrap for pre-clearing all of the cobwebs off of the path this morning. I knew that buzz cut was good for something. And now we know why @Charmin always runs in the back.
  4. Nice work by the PAX this morning. TClaps to @Powerball and @Hugo for finishing early and then going back to pick up the six. I would have joined them but I was hot and sweaty and didn’t really want to go. #pointsforhonesty
  5. @Glock was supposed to join us today but he texted @Blacksheep at 530 to say that he overslept. Apparently that three minute drive was a little too much for him to overcome. Thanks for the effort.
  6. Highlands will be celebrating two different five-year anniversary’s this week with @Dropcloth on Tuesday and @Sully on Thursday. Come out and show some support for your brothers. It might be another five years until @Dropcloth has the ‘Q’ again.

  1. @Disaster – So now you want in on the Zoolander headbands? I have extra. Just say the word.

  2. The wild fox did give me a good look and clearly decided my company was of no interest. Apparently I have the same affect on wildlife as I do on humans.

Enjoyed joining the PAX today for #Murph. I resorted to a solo Murph for Memorial Day weekend; while difficult to explain, it’s helluva more challenging in isolation.

    1. I had the same issue with my solo Murph last month. There’s something about the PAX that gives you a little bit more motivation. Hard to explain until you start posting at F3.
