**Update**  Oops, we ordered too many patches!  That is good news for you.  We will be running the Triple Nickel Challenge again in September.  The first 15 pax to register are guaranteed a patch if they complete the challenge, after that patches will be awarded based on availability.  Even if you don’t end up with a patch, completing the challenge is totally worth it.

Our Summer 2018 Fitness Challenge will be the Triple Nickel, a well-balanced full-body physical challenge that includes 5,000 push-ups, 5,000 sit-ups, and 50 miles running or rucking in 30 days.

The purpose of the Challenge Patch Program is to raise funds for the F3MECA Fund while simultaneously encouraging pax to push themselves to higher levels of each F (Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith) and leadership by offering achievable challenges in each, the completion of which will be recognized with a Challenge Patch.

Here are the details:

Duration: All exercises must be completed within 30 days from the start date.  This is the last chance for this challenge this year.

Start Date: September 1st.

End Date:  September 30th.

Number of Push-Ups: 5,000 (~167 per day).  All push-ups performed during the day count, including those done at an F3 workout.  Push-ups must be performed on a level surface or in decline position. Incline push-ups do not count.  Push-ups done during an F3 Burpee also count.

Number of Sit-Ups: 5,000 (~167 per day).  All sit-ups performed during the day count, including those done at an F3 workout.  Sit-ups must meet Army PFT standards with hands behind the head or Marine Corp PFT standards, with arms crossed and in constant contact with the chest.

Number of Miles: 50 (~12.5 miles per week).  Miles may be completed running or rucking.  If rucking, ruck must have at least 30lbs of weight in it.  Miles run or rucked during a F3 workout count.

Proceeds Go To: The F3MECA Fund and it’s beneficiaries (i.e. Need for Speed, Hinds’ Feet Farm, etc.)

Accountability: We will provide access to a spreadsheet for tracking progress and add pax to a Slack channel so we can encourage each other and share tips.

Finishers: First 15 pax to register and finish will receive a Triple Nickel finishers patch.
