A GoRuck workout, whether you had a ruck or not

All Rolling Stone Backblasts

March 6th, 2018 By Heatstroke

YHC put out the call to the MeCa rucking team that a ruck workout would be available at the Stone this am, complete with video proof, along with a 0500 preruck invite.  Project, Sparky & Whatley awaited and we covered close to 2 miles before returning at 0530 to 7 more Pax (Bos would lament his absence as he must have been hit by a fartsack sniper as his alarm was set and gear ready yet…missed you brother) Kilowatt was sporting a ruck, but the other Pax would have to sport cinder blocks for this one.  Disclaimer given and we mosey to the bball courts for a slighty modified version of the video below.

Warmarama & The Thang: Warmup as shown, 3 rounds.  Next, ruck 1 mile with ruck/block, those with ruck no straps (should have also said handles, as Project hit the easy button…wasn’t explicitly said not to use handles, so…)  Then perform workout part until time called for Mary.

Mary: All with ruck/block: Mason twists, LBC, Low Dolly, Low Flutter, W

Recover, recover

COT: Continued prayers for Marie’s mom and Sparknut’s brother.  HDHH is tomorrow 7:30pm 26 Acres.  Whetstone convergence workout at Mineshaft Saturday at 0700.  Whetstone is like the free version of 2nd and 3rd F that beatdowns are to being the free version for the 1st F, look into this gents, more from me later on it.

Moleskin: Great to have Steel Cannon out there for his maiden RS voyage, welcome and great job!  Also great to have Master Po out again, this time working off some pizza and beer…not unlike the rest of us for sure:) If the movement with the rucks/blocks felt easy to anyone, the easiness came to crashing halt when the workout portion hit, phew!  That workout calls for 20# rucks…most of us had much more than that and it was no joke at all, smoked. I am sure that was a solid circuit with cinder blocks as well.  We only got in maybe a bit more than 10 minutes on that circuit, but it delivered in that short time.  Our movement was kind of a hot mess going up and down the street, a little better on the way back, the TL was terrible, me:) Nice job by the pre-ruckers, never easy arriving when you normally might be awaking for a beatdown.  YHC took some fire today with Marie chirping about my church slacks (might need to see if they make any in youth sizes for him) and Whatley asking about my fanny pack (epitome of cool) but no matter, mission accomplished, good work boys!
