A Mineshaft Q Re-run Audible
All Rolling Stone BackblastsJanuary 23rd, 2018
YHC and 8 fellow PAX posted on a balmy, wet 60 degree morning for some shenanigans. A different beatdown was ready to go the night before, but once it was noticed that it would potentially be raining all night and during our festivities, an audible was called to run back the Mineshaft Q I led a week and a half ago. Only Jimmy Buffett had the pleasure of doing this one twice, the rest had the satisfaction of this being their first go round.
The disappointment hung in the air at the fact that the rain had just stopped before 0530…sigh. No matter, QIC was determined to make the best of the soggy conditions and with a disclaimer, we were off…
MHs at Greenway entrance until car passed.
Mosey to HRMS Rock for soggy Warmarama:
- SSH
- Merkins
- Seal Jacks
- MC – big stretch
- Slooow Windmills
Mosey towards school, knock out some donkey kicks on the front wall, and mosey onward to the field for…
The Thang: Soggy field work – all activity would span about 50 yards (endzone included)
- Game of leapfrog about half the length of field – time to completion – 1:35
- Game of leapfrog back with time hack of 1:25 – time to completion – 1:20 – well done
- Go to midfield. Human PAX crawl. Pax on hands and knees, shoulder to shoulder. Pax would crawl over backs of Pax to other end and resume hand and knees postion. Pax at end would follow PAX who just left (like an indian run.) The PAX loved this one. It took us just under 11 minutes to make it all the way pas the goal post from 50 yards away.
- Back to midfield for tunnel of love. Just making sure everyone wasn’t too dry here. Took just under 5 minutes to go the 50 yards.
- Then to make sure our backs weren’t left out of this circus, 25 LBCs on the field.
- There is not enough time to go through all of the mumblechatter that was going on. That said, well done PAX, everyone was a great sport about all of this nonsense (nonsense that was also pretty difficult…)
Mosey back to front entrance of greenway, splashing in as much water as possible along the way. MHs at Greenway entrance. Then back to the lot for…
Mary: Homer to Marge with low dollies, flutter kicks and Rosalitas. Recover, recover.
COT: Continued prayers to Gremlin’s family as they, and all of us, grieve his passing. Prayers to Jimmy Buffett’s family as he travels for his grandfather’s funeral. Continued prayers for Marie’s mom and the whole family. Marie mentioned prayers for Sugar as he heard he had to go to the ER last week, but he must not be too bad off as he is HC for tomorrow. Probably just bad information considering it’s source:) Praise for Project who used to be the 6, moved towards the middle of the pack, and now appears to be leading the packs on our moseys #killingit. Project keeps getting better and let’s all strive to do the same, physically and in every other part of our lives.
F3 Party this Saturday at Cabarrus Brewing Co., gonna be fun, I’ll be there! Laser will be guest Q’ing on Thursday, let’s show out and support him!
Moleskin: As mentioned before, thanks for playing along. Good sports all of you. Especially JB, who had to do that one twice, and probably didn’t like either of them. His objection to the human pax crawl was noted, but denied:) I do believe that is the first time I had to remove my shirt before getting into the car this year, feels good! I felt a sense of obligation to drag everyone through the mud as how often are we going to get 60 degree weather and a wet field on January 23rd…just had to go there. Great job today, hopefully it put a little spring in your step…or something like that.

Aye!
It was a Heatstroke classic: CSAUP – I just feel sorry for the Pax considering my extra 30 lbs crawl
Ha! I REALLY felt sorry for Golden Boy…but he handled all that like a champ!
