I thought it was supposed to be cold this morning
All Highlands BackblastsJanuary 1st, 2018
Four men showed up to the Highland Creek Sports Club for a VERY cold running of the Murph this morning. Temperature at 7AM was 17 degrees and it didn’t get much warmer even when the sun came up. Here’s how it all went down:
- Run One Mile
- 10 Pull Ups
- 20 Merkins IC
- 30 Squats IC
- Repeat exercises X 10
- Run One Mile
MARY
- Pretzel Crunch IC X 10. Flapjack (Gordo)
- The ‘W’ IC X 10 (Disaster)
- Mason Twist IC X 12 (Buffalo Bill)
- Low Flutter IC X 20 (Slappy)
COT and BOM
MOLESKIN
- Did I mention that it was cold today? Heavy gloves and hoods were in demand this morning. Any exposed skin got cold in a hurry. Even the sidewalk was cold.
- The PAX did the exercise regimen in cadence today, with each man leading two sets. Sets five and ten were done in silence in memory of Michael Patrick Murphy. @Skipper did the same thing on #RedFriday two weeks ago and I liked how it brought the PAX together as a group.
- Nice job by the PAX this morning. It’s hard getting moving when it is that cold out. It sounds like most of us went to bed early last night so it wasn’t as hard getting up today. Apparently I can’t say the same for the rest of the men of the Highlands #fartsackers
- Thanks to the men from #Tradition for letting us join them for Coffeteria after the beatdown. That hot coffee hit the spot.
- Sign Up Genius is wide open for January so please sign up to ‘Q’ if you haven’t done it in a while.

Glad to read @Disaster wasn’t left high-and-dry this AM. The mumblechatter during announcements at Last Call Saturday eluded it was a possibility. I opted to rep Highlands at Tradition, as @Guinness never disappoints with a solid butt-kicking.
Happy New Year PAX!
